Tigers roar back to down Clermont
17th December 2011
ASM Clermont, second in the French 14, were looking to make it a double over Leicester Tigers in the return fixture at Welford Road, a feat that looked likely as they stormed into a nine point lead at the break. In a fiercely contested battle, with the lead changing hands on five separate occasions, this compelling fixture was finally settled with two Toby Flood penalties that gave the Tigers victory 23-19, with ASM taking a losing bonus point which could prove crucial in the final count in this group. Tries by Manu Tuilagi and Julian Silva, were countered by a try from Suvivatu for ASM. A selection of images from this fixture can be viewed by visiting www.tgsphoto.com
