Saracens second half storm seals big win
29th January 2012
Worcester Warriors were the visitors to Vicarage Road in the LV Cup and in an evenly contested first half held a slim 14-13 advantage thanks to tries from Sam Betty and Tom Arscott. These were replied with two penalties from Nils Mordt and a solo effort from Peter Stringer who found a gap in the defensive line from the breakdown. The second half proved an altogether different proposition, with the hosts running in four unanswered scores, two from debutant Joel Tomkins, Jamie George and a fourth where the Saracens forward power proved to much to leave Justin Melck to finish. Saracens ran out 41-14 winners, although Bath's maximum result yesterday requires Saracens to score a maximum in the final game, and hope that Bath secure nothing for any hope of qualifying for the semi finals of this competition.
