Saints run riot in second half try fest

With three defeats from their previous outings, the Saints showed just what formidable opponents they are, especially at Franklin Gardens. After an attritional first half, the only score from a Stephen Myler penalty, the Saints quickly extended the lead after the break with two further Myler penalties, after which the flood gates opened. Tries from Foden(2), Artemyev, Haywood and Tonks, all within an emphatic 18 second half minutes secured a huge margin of victory, together with an additional bonus point, and in the process preventing any score from the visitors.
