Saracens Avoid Wasps Sting

12th February 2012
London Wasps, struggling at the wrong end of the Aviva Premiership entertained Champions Saracens at a cold Adams Park. Wasps scored two first half tries, the first of which a slick lay off from Nic Berry that let Billy Vunipola in, and a more fortuitous break from which Tom Lindsey profited. In between James Short intercepted a looping Vunipola pass and sped home, and with the metronomic accuracy of Alex Goode's kicking, the champions held a slender lead into the break. The second half was a more attritional affair with two further penalties from Goode answered by a single strike from Nick Robinson securing a hard fought victory for the visitors.
