My passion for cricket has always been with me. As a younger person often dreamed of being able to play at the highest level, and when not participating at club level could be found at the boundary edge at Essex, marvelling at how the media got such close up images of the action. A brief spell with Chelmsford Colts, led to playing days at Writtle, Pleshey and for a season Chignal before eventually deciding to pad up. Only recently have I had sufficiently appropriate equipment that allows me to capture the shots I dreamed of playing or perfecting, and never managed.

These galleries contain imagery from the world of Motorsport. From the adrenalin fueled trackside of British Superbikes, Touring Cars, the full throttle action of speedway with Ethanol fuelled bikes with no brakes, Grass Track racing for the real enthusiasts, to the stamina sapping world of Motocross.

These portfolios include images taken at various local sporting events, and feature football, rugby, greyhound racing and other general fixtures that I have been able to attend, whether by invitation or as a paying spectator.

The Blue Falcons Display Team was established in 1974 and is composed of students past and present from Chelmer Valley High School .

Over the past 25 years the Team has gained a reputation as one of the foremost gymnastic display teams in the country. They have successfully combined endurance vaulting with charity fund raising and have raised well over £50,000 for local charities and good causes. During 2009 the team were invited to perform at the Birmingham International Tattoo, broke their own world record for most vaults in an hour, in addition to many other local performances.

My good fortune at being able to travel fuelled my interest in photography. The images within these portfolio groups, from for afield in Asia, to those taken 'just around the corner' are the direct result, and remain the starting point for everything else that is displayed on this site.

From the raw presence of the big cats, magnificent birds of prey, vibrant floral form and colour, to the tiny beauty and splendour of the bugs and beasts on the allotment, the natural world holds something of fascination for everyone.
