City slip at home to Sutton

On a day when run away leaders slipped up at home to Staines, City with a game in hand wasted an opportunity to close the gap at the top of the Blue Square Bet Southern Division. An opening strike from Craig Parker mid way through the first half provided a platform which the Clarets failed to take advantage of. Sutton equalised early after the re start, and then took the lead as Craig Watkins added to his earlier strike. A period of pressure from City lead to a scrambled equaliser from Substitute Cliff Akurang, but within minutes Craig Dundas took advantage of defensive lapse with a low headed goal to provide Sutton United the spoils.
